MBS Solutions has the immediate need of a Residential Technician Assistant/ Assistant Glass Technician on the 1st Shift, in the York County, PA Area.

PAY RATE- $15+/HR BOE
LOCATION-
York County, PA Area
SHIFT:
- 1 st Shift- 7:00am-3:30pm | Mon-Fri
OVERTIME- Yes, must be open and receptive as it can be as typical as an every week occurrence.

- Reliability and willingness to learn and advance within the company
- Able to understand basic math and use of a measuring tape required; Use of hand/ power tools and precise measuring devices highly desired.
- Communication and organizational skills while able to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction within clients homes completing projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES-
- This position works with residential customers at their homes, daily. MUST be personable with the general public.
- Prior construction experience preferred and or related tools a big plus.
- Seeking Residential Helpers/ Assistant Glass Technicians to learn the trade and assist more skilled crew leaders and fabricators in the production, installation, and transportation of glass for window glass, showers, tabletop glass, mirror and more.
- Assist with crew leader, installers, and or fabricator with related tasks
- Glass experience is not required, but industry related skills such as carpentry, construction or assembly is highly desired.
- Learn to cut glass/metal and assist with assembly
- All candidates MUST pass a DOT physical, drug test and background check.
- Experience with and able to taking measurements of necessary objects or frames and use of precise measuring tools (micrometers and calipers) desired.
- Must be proficient with measuring tape, able to accurately read down to 1/16th of an inch, required.
- English measurements, tape measures, power tools, basic math (fractions) and problem-solving
- Ensuring to keep jobsites/ shop organized, presentable, and tidy to ensure safe and proficient working environments.
- Must have ability to follow supervisor’s instructions.
- Assist with other areas, projects, and tasks as assigned.
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Residential window glazing
- Working with windows and doors
- Installing mirrors
- Delivering tabletops and other items
- Cutting glass on customer site, as needed.
- Installing shower enclosures and doors
- Assisting Lead Person with whatever they need done
- Movement of materials
- Seeking candidates that are 25-30-minute radius from shop
PHYSICAL DEMANDS | REQUIREMENTS:
- Steel Toes Required
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; Ability to pass MVR/ DOT Requirements
- Must be comfortable with heights as using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts will be needed at times.
- Experience with Hand/Power Tools, Inspection and Precise Measuring Tools and relevant mechanical/ construction/ industrial based knowledge that’s transferrable highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate with customers and co-workers in a friendly professional manner.
- Must have top-notch communication, customer service, and organizational skills, in addition to good attention to detail.
- Must have ability to assist with team lifting, and or able to independently lift up to 50lbs;
- Must have ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time; Including frequent bending, stooping, and stretching;
- Must have ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must have ability to work at different heights at times and or working outdoors.
