Join the dynamic team at the City of Medford as a Resource Development Coordinator in our Parks and Recreation Department. Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or GED; and
- Three (3) years of administrative, fund development, community programs, or related
experience to perform the job effectively.
Desired Attributes:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Use computer and other office equipment effectively and efficiently.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Requires possession of a valid driver’s license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days
(ORS 807.020 (1)). - Ability to maintain acceptable driving record throughout employment.
- Successful completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.

The anticipated hiring range for theResource Development Coordinatorposition is $25.88 (first step) to $27.17 (second step). Directly related experience and qualifications will be evaluated alongside others who perform work of comparable character as required by Pay Equity Law. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.

Examples of Job Duties
These duties are a representative example; position assignments may vary depending on the business needs of the department and organization. This position:
- Assists with fundraising activities, special events, concessions and special campaigns, and sponsorship recognition at special events.
- Facilitates material donations, in-kind contributions, product donations and trade exchanges.
- Develops strategies and processes to identify and solicit strategic sponsorships and partnerships.
- Develops working relationships with community partners, writes sponsorship proposals and agreements, and determines exposure values.
- Generates advertising revenue for programs and assists in design, production, and distribution of program materials.
- Helps facilitate facility signage sales and promotions.
- Assists with Department-wide initiatives to achieve positive outcomes, including interfacing with local businesses to generate visibility, recognition, and understanding of Park and Recreation department services.
- Attends meetings and assists with presentations and sponsorship proposals.
- May be required to drive to attend off-site meetings and run various errands.
- Scope of assigned work is at the discretion of the Assistant Director.
