Resource Manager
Resource Managers are key to the success of our employees and brands at DDB Health. They work collaboratively with the department leads to assign the right talent to agency projects.
Discipline: Finance
Working Hours: 8:00 AM Eastern – 6:00 PM Eastern
As Resource Manager, you will partner closely with Finance, Project Management, Agency Leadership, and HR to deliver operational excellence, efficiencies, and proactively manage supply and demand while identifying gaps and helping to resolve resource issues as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a view of resource capacity for all billable employees
- Use agency systems and create reports to manage resource availability and assignments
- Match and assign team members talents against brand/project needs
- Ensure all brands are appropriately resourced against client and forecast needs
- Receive, analyze and report on tools that identify resource gaps (utilization, Cognos, OOTO calendar, other reporting tools)
- Build, maintain, and communicate resource forecasts
- Maintain effective communications with agency teams to understand utilization, capacity, schedule changes, and upcoming resource availability.
- Lead communication with appropriate parties team to discuss all active projects and potential new business as well as to stay informed of potential issues
- Working with PMs to pull together monthly freelance needs. Tracks freelance actual hours against the estimate and distributes weekly
- Manage and resolve freelance needs, booking, and sourcing in collaboration with OHG Talent Acquisition
- Ensures flawless setup for new freelance hires (equipment, software)
- Present resource forecasts to leadership including under/over utilization, new business pipeline allocation and resources needed to execute.
- Recommend process and resource management improvements
- Work to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members
- Proactively build on a pre-existing network of contacts
Qualifications
- Resource management experience with 5+ years of prior experience in a project or operational management capacity
- Working knowledge of agency staffing and utilization principles
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing industry (e.g. direct-to-consumer, direct-to-professional, etc) and regulatory process
- Proven communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical, planning and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to adapt to changing marketplace dynamics
- Solid understanding of project management methodology and process
- Strong understanding of talent and skills to ensure “talent to task” in agency ad and pharma marketing environment
- Demonstrates advanced listening skills
- Effective and professional communication
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Self-motivated
- College degree
The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
