City Experiences is seeking an Event Manager for our City Cruises operation in San Francisco and Berkeley.
About You:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
As an Event Manager, you will oversee the set-up and execution of public lunch, brunch and dinner cruises as well private chartered events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with culinary staff, bartenders, and stewards to ensure we exceed expectations of our guests
- Supervise the training of service crew members
- Regularly review and evaluate customer satisfaction through guest interaction and surveys
- Assigns and direct crew members in their work duties
- Introduce and implement new marketing and/or operation policies to crew as required
- Regularly communicates supply needs as well operational and staff concerns to Manager
- This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and Director of Guest Services
- Additional job duties assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 3 years working in the hospitality industry
- Minimum 1 year as a Manager/Supervisor in Food & Beverage
- Understands the importance of safety in the workplace and adheres to all mandated standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Have or be able to acquire a valid California Serve Safe certification as well as a TWIC and MMC
