The Lockheed Martin Space, Special Programs, Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) organization executes multiple contracts and research efforts to design, develop, and deploy complex computer vision and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) software applications. We develop state-of-the-art processing applications to deliver timely, actionable intelligence to our warfighting partners around the globe.
As the Sr. Engineering manager of supporting the ABI organization, you will drive the recruitment, retention, and growth of a talented and diverse team at the cutting edge of machine learning, data analytics at scale and artificial intelligence. You will manage the execution and growth of a multi-disciplined product area engaged in applied research and development (R&D), and transition new mission capabilities to operations while nurturing a technical team to address large competitive procurements. Responsibilities include leading a recruitment and retention strategy, defining a workforce growth strategy, establishing, and maintaining effective customer relations; acquiring and managing LM Space and Corporate Research and Development initiatives; proven experience leading proposal development, developing and executing growth strategies and new business acquisition.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience leading teams or departments responsible for the development of complex software-based elements or systems
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership experience including a commitment to the Full Spectrum attributes of shaping the future, building effective relationships, energizing the team, delivering results, and modeling personal excellence, integrity and accountability.
• Proposal development experience
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective customer relations
Desired Skills:
• Experience with software planning and execution throughout the requirements, development, design, build, test, and integration phases of a mid-size to large program
• Software Development Programs related to intelligence or national security applications
• Strong technical background with overseeing technical efforts with budget and schedule management
• Control Account Management/Earned Value Management experience
• Basis of Estimate and proposal technical writing experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Current Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $146,800 – $281,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
