The Role at a Glance
We are excited to be hiring a Retirement Pricing Analyst in our Retirement Plan Services division to work remotely or in one of our Fort Wayne, Radnor, or Hartford based offices. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales, retention, and profitability goals by supporting Sales Professionals and Relationship Managers through delivery of custom price quotes on retirement plan product solutions. You will coordinate with key areas on the communication and pricing/implementation of special priced offerings.
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare pricing and facilitate financial deal reviews as needed for new and existing cases
- Ensure that programs meet short- and long-term profitability objectives
- Work with Product to determine pricing requirements for new service offerings and products
- Coordinate workload of incoming requests to expedite personally or delegate as needed to other team members to meet proposal deadlines and/or existing case review deadlines
- Evaluating Requests for Proposal (RFP) and other intake documents to verify adequate information for pricing, develop questions for sales team and retention team to research in order to support the pricing
- Develop appropriate assumptions based on understanding of different plans (including defined-benefit plans as needed), compliance requirements, funds available, vendors, likelihood of asset rollovers, and the impact of various stable value options
- Maintain files of relevant assumptions, communications, pricing models and quotes for reference and analysis, providing periodic reports of pricing activities completed
- Work with key contacts, such as proposal team, sales team, implementation, account management and strategic partners to provide consultation and clarification of pricing and how it is applied
- Participating in analysis of pricing studies by running tests with pricing models
- Develop and maintain rapport with sales team to show responsiveness and help them to learn how to submit information in complete and efficient method
- Explain implications of assumptions and how sales team can determine best approach to structuring the price without requesting extensive iterations
- Reporting on activities, trends, and financial results
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 3-5+ years experience in retirement pricing or related experience within the financial services industry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this position
- 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s)
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong data analysis skills
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attitude of teamwork to collaborate and support team goals
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches

Pay Range: $65,700 – $118,300
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
