The Jacobs Returnship program has been designed for talented professionals looking to REFRESH SKILLS, REBUILD CONFIDENCE and REIGNITE CAREERS after an extended career break and absence from the workforce. This is paid, 16-week initiative with intent to transition our returners to permanent placement. As diverse as our business is, as are the opportunities we have available. Our cohort of Returnship participants will join multidisciplinary teams across a variety of divisions.
Your Impact:
When it comes to environmental solutions, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve our tomorrow. We’re seeking a Project Manager with a background in environmental site characterization and remediation projects to oversee the delivery of challenging projects for federal and private sector clients.
Roles specific deliverables:
• You’ll have the opportunity to support environmental projects both in the region and country. You’ll grow your career as you interact with key clients to grow our business while working with recognized technical experts, developing and implementing innovative solutions on some of the most challenging sites.
• You’ll collaboratively work with diverse skilled project teams with support from the Jacobs operations team, to deliver environmental projects with a focus on successful project delivery. By driving consistency and innovation across projects, you’ll help your team achieve the clients’ goals.
• Bring your positive attitude and flexible leadership style, and we’ll help grow what drives you – solving problems, Bachelor’s degree in engineering (environmental, or related), geology, or other closely related technical degree
• You’ll apply your technical experience to compliment established teams while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team.
As a participant, you will:
• Experience 16 weeks of on the job learning and exploration with a diverse community of professionals from a wide range of backgrounds
• Access the vast network of resources at Jacobs through continual leadership development, support, and mentorship from our dedicated Returnship program team
• Be confident that you will receive ongoing support and mentorship and support as you navigate the transition with us to permanent employment
• Be a part of our Returnship cohort community participating in regular focus group feedback session and social events to facilitate a seamless transition as you return to the workforce

The base salary range for this position is $97,900 to $128,400 . This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position Bellevue, WA. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
• Experience as project manager or manager of integrated technical tasks, ideally representing clients to stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, property owners, government officials or other technical professionals.
• Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, or optimizing remediation systems.
• Experience in identifying and resolving key issues impacting remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, risk, land use, etc.) and emerging issues
• At least one year career break is required
- Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, team members, regulatory agencies, and clients
• Ability to think strategically and critically analyze details. Able to think on multiple levels while gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing relevant data to make sound recommendations.
• Related professional certification (or the ability to obtain and maintain), including but not limited to, Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, Professional Geologist (PG) license, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Familiarity with applicable federal and state regulations
