Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Analyst is responsible for leading the efforts on reporting and analytics to help drive the successful management of revenue cycle processes. The emphasis will be on targeting data to help the revenue cycle leadership better manage work distribution, productivity, accounts receivable, trend analysis, and revenue cycle management key performance indicators.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs the necessary ad hoc reporting using company reporting tools.
  • Analyzes the data gathered for trends or anomalies that require action.
  • Performs business process analysis using data to support key decision-making efforts to increase the efficiency of the team.
  • Collaborates with revenue cycle management leaders to develop reporting tools to assist with work distribution, monitoring team productivity and results to drive increased performance.
  • Responsible for monitoring current and emerging reimbursement issues impacting the accounts receivable.
  • Completes an evaluation of the accounts receivables monthly and discusses root cause for aged accounts and reports anticipated cash delays or bad debt.
  • Collaborates with company leadership to reduce or eliminate denial and bad debt patterns.
  • Maintains a dashboard of revenue cycle management’s key performance indicators.
  • Develop strategies for the automation of recurring department reports/dashboards.
  • Understand the flow of transactions from patient accounting system to the GL and the impact of changes in governmental and other reimbursement on the financial statements.
  • Provide strong leadership, team building, and role modeling to all staff.
  • Liaise with clinical sites to resolve issues and outstanding problems in A/R management and revenue cycle process through the sharing of actionable data.
  • Strengthens relationships with Joint Venture Partners by completing both scheduled and Ad Hoc requests for data/reporting.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or other related field or equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in healthcare.
  • Experience in the revenue cycle management of a multi-site healthcare delivery system, including ambulatory surgical centers.

  • Superior leadership, problem-solving, team building, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer software and database skills, preferably with a focus on Excel, SQL coding, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), or Power BI.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively problem-solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and bring forth ideas to enhance team.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
