The City of Surprise is looking for a highly motivated risk/human resources professional to join its team. The individual must be collaborative and will work with the Risk Team to further develop and expand Risk and Safety programming. The position will play a key role in continuing to make the City of Surprise a safe place to live, learn and work.
SUMMARY
Incumbents are required to have functional knowledge and perform administrative support in multiple human resources areas. Incumbents are responsible for data entry, maintaining employee data, electronic personnel files and claims in the HRIS and other software systems, administering recruitment, hiring, employee onboarding, claims, safety, assign training, and preparing and monitoring human resources-related reports. Incumbents are required to understand and use limited discretion in applying laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and two years of human resources and/or risk/safety experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
