PAY RANGE: Risk Management Analyst I: $49,200 – $61,500
Risk Management Analyst II: $60,200 – $75,300
Sr Risk Management Analyst: $76,400 – $101,800
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Job may require additional hours on short notice including evenings.)
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The position supports the energy trading functions of Risk Management:
Duties under general supervision include:
• Recommend appropriate credit limits for potential and current energy trading counterparties based on adequate quantitative and qualitative analysis of the counterparty, the applicable transaction, and the market.
• Daily monitor and analyze internal and external news and announcements about counterparties and markets to assess impact related to trading activities and communicate findings.
• Monitor and mitigate credit exposure, including collateral / margin calls, identifying risk concentrations, and reporting. Assist with daily reporting process.
• Assist with daily valuation reporting, including identifying, researching, and resolving issues; problem solving.
• Participate in ongoing systems development and documentation as well as data integrity maintenance and monitoring.
• Assist in negotiation and administration of trading contracts, credit support documents, and other contracts with counterparties.
• Help ensure compliance with risk management policies and applicable regulation, assist with accounting issues, perform ad hoc reporting, present to senior management, and other duties as assigned.
• Work with internal customers and present information in a clear, confident manner.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must have excellent work record, including performance evaluations and attendance. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field and demonstrated analytical experience or related experience. Trade capture system or commodity trading knowledge is helpful. MBA or other advanced degree or related certification is desirable. Pay Grade determined on the basis of experience and education.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:
Individual must possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Experience should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, exercise diplomatic skills, work independently to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within short time frames, and to perform detailed work. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications is required. Must be able to handle multiple priorities with deadlines and operate effectively in an occasionally stressful environment.

Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed inside. Occasional travel to other locations, including within the company’s service territory may be required.
