Sales and Marketing Manager| Tony’s Pizza Events Center

Overview

This Sales and Marketing Manager will orchestrate the execution of strategy and tactics that amplify our brand. This proactive business leader will also be responsible for aggregating, analyzing and segmenting key data points that maximize the return on investment of our brand including web, customer service and social media metrics. Will also sell fully integrated marketing, media and promotional programs that include marketing rights, on-premises signage, event sponsorships, promotions, event marketing, media exposure and select premium seating elements. We are looking for an outgoing, people-oriented sales professional who will be responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages. This position will inspire and foster communications between business development, marketing, sponsorships, public relations and others to facilitate the strategic growth of OVG. The role is an individual contributor that will have multiple stakeholders and teammates in producing significant momentum.

This role will pay an Salary of $50,000 to $55,000.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of established objectives and market characteristics including expansion of digital channels through customer engagement.
  • Enhance existing promotional initiatives and develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ROI such as third-party partnerships, new media avenues, etc.
  • Create corporate collateral materials such as print and digital ads, promotional pieces, posters, schedules, calendars and various brochures from concept to completion.
  • Create social media campaigns to engage customers, vendors, sponsors and community, collect data and generate awareness for new items and specials.
  • Serve as press contact, write and distribute all press releases.
  • Prospect, sell, activate and maintain corporate sponsorships, advertising and select premium seating partnerships for the venue.
  • Work with venue staff and OVG Regional Vice President to implement the goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all corporate sales programs and activities.
  • Regularly engage in the business of making sales, and presentations away from the primary place of business.
  • Design sales proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners
  • Prepare advertising, sponsorship and premium seating contracts and addenda; identify issues with contract language; address issues with and make recommendations for resolution; negotiate corporate sales pricing and other rates as required.
  • Achieve corporate partnership revenue goals and budgets.
  • Meet with corporate partners and outside agencies at their place of work to get all branding created and placed in a timely manner.
  • Interact in a professional manner with senior level management.
  • Oversee the service of corporate partnerships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, partner gatherings and client entertainment events.
  • Identify key open categories and new categories as prospective new business leads.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Renew and grow existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships.
  • Track prospecting, sales and inventory, and manage sales reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in advertising or sports and/or event sponsorship.
  • Corporate Sales Experience within the State preferred.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and retaining clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in sales, public relations, business administration, hospitality management, or another related field
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of mobile, POS and payments to digital menu boards, guest apps and loyalty systems.
  • Digital expertise with various digital channels including website optimization, social media, and data acquisition.
  • Must be able to project a professional manner and appearance, and communicate effectively with clients, senior management, staff and the general public.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to spend time on the road conducting sales pitches to new prospective clients.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives.
  • Ability to work with a wide array of client groups, vendors and business partners enterprise wide.
  • Instruct and assist current vendor community with social media marketing strategies for their individual business locations.

  • Creativity skills that inspire brand loyalty
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
