Sales Manager US [Full-Time]
About the Job:
As our Sales Manager, you will be a key member of our team responsible for strategic planning of the US sales team and sales partners (distributors) according to divisional and budget goals. Management and development of the Customer Portfolio and Sales Volume in the US and Canada. Growth of key accounts within the Machining Division. Researching and identifying potential new business opportunities, and ensuring the profitability of the sales volume in the US and Canada according to given targets.
Position Type/Compensation/Hours:
- Compensation package $80k-$120k+ (based upon experience)
- 10 – 15% Domestic/International travel annually

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering, paired with sales experience in the machine tool manufacturing industry.
- Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience as a sales manager.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of sales experience
- Proven track record of positive sales performance
- Strong communication skills

Responsibilities
- Development of the performance and capabilities of the MACH Sales Team and the Sales Partners and professionalization of the sales and business development process
- Care and expansion of the existing customer portfolio and sales partners portfolio.
- Lead the MACH sales and business development process and ensure the appropriate tools are in place for flawless process execution within the team, including performance monitoring tools and reporting.
- Development of the sales and business development strategies and tactics in close collaboration with the Solutions Portfolio Managers, Machining, the Machining Leadership Team, and the Global Customer Service Machining team.
- Prepare a sales forecast and sales budget with expenditures.
- Track analyze, and report sales activities and results based on key quantitative metrics. Develop the necessary cockpits to monitor the business development.
- Establish and adjust selling prices according to the group and divisional finance target and guidelines.
- Strategic alignment and collaborations with other Sales Managers and with other global functions in order to secure the concept “MACHINING ONE DIVISION”.
- Ensuring the collaboration and interaction of Sales team US with the other teams of the machining division and other divisions.
- Proactively supports the concept of “CHAMPIONS PLAY AS ONE” and ensure anchoring within the team
- Ensure team activities are in compliance with SUHNER Management Systems, Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and als wit the SUHNER values and culture.
- Contribute to the activities of the SUHNER group and involvement in specific group teas as STRATEGY@SUHNER, SOLUTIONS@SUHNER, etc.
- Collaborate with the Machining Divisional Leadership Team on specific projects and where the skills of the Sales Manager US are required.
