As part of VMware’s Security Business Unit (known as Carbon Black), you’ll have the chance to make an impact in the ever-evolving cybersecurity space. Our Planning & Analytics team is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Analyst with proven experience driving organizational change through rigorous data analysis. Interfacing with SBU Leadership, this role will provide critical insights to drive performance and accelerate revenue for VMware’s largest SaaS franchise.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Within your first 6 months:
- You will develop an understanding of the Carbon Black organization and key stakeholders & business partners
- You will have strong understanding of frequently used tools & systems to pull together analytics as needed based on business needs
- You will be expected to produce and manage a standard set of reporting provided to GTM Executive team and various business stakeholders
After 6 months+:
- You will be a key contributor to the Planning & Analytics team, proactively problem-solving and finding ways to improve standardized reporting
- You will assist as needed in the bi-annual planning process
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
As a member of the Planning & Analytics team, you will:
- Partner with GTM Ops management and Sales leadership to deliver effective analytics, share insights, and influence alignment on critical efforts to improve performance.
- Perform deep dive analyses to support goal achievement, revenue acceleration, and drive achievement to strategies.
- Spearhead the development of insight-driven tools & dashboards and provide ongoing support regarding functionality and data-integrity.
- Create and manage MBR and QBR materials for executive leadership reviews.
- Craft data stories through presentations, written summaries, and data visualizations that accurately outline problem statements and provide actionable and unbiased intelligence and recommendations.
- Use Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SAP, Tableau/Power BI, and Clari to develop analysis.

This position reports to the Manager of the Carbon Black Planning & Analytics team. This team consists of highly motivated analysts focused on providing high quality insightful analytics to Sales leadership team and acting as a trusted business advisor throughout the bi-annual planning process.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $83,000 – $187,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
