What you will be doing
Schematic Manager I responsible for leading merchandising strategy and schematic optimization for store/cluster schematics delivery via I2E our suite of assortment/space optimization application. Responsible for delivering the incremental sales and profit from optimized store level schematics for each category.
Main responsibilities
Lead the by store/cluster schematic development via the planogram optimization application I2E (assortment/space optimization engine); Serve as company “expert” on the I2E suite of applications (60%).
- Work with National and Divisional team members as the planogram expert to determine the best strategy and measured operational settings to use for a given category.
- Execute best merchandising flow and blocking based on shopper needs and ability to maximize financial benefits.
- Build store cluster templates in the planogram tool to execute strategy.
- Maintain integrity of data inputs into the planogram application.
- Develop analytics and reports to help deliver /cluster benefit.
Collaborate with Sales Managers/Assistant Sales Managers focused on assortment optimization to ensure appropriate levels of cluster assortment execution (5%).
Train and educate Schematic Analyst on the planogram applications functionality and benefits (10%).
Serve as an Albertsons Company champion for continued application enhancements (5%).
Manage Schematic Analysts that are dedicated to categories that are executed through the application (15%).
Provide merchandising optimization expertise to center of store/new format initiatives (5%).
The salary range is $80,500.00 to $110,550.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

What we are searching for
BA/BS degree preferably in Statistics, Marketing, Business, Economics, or equivalent field. MBA a plus.
Experience Level:
- Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures found in Marketing organizations, consulting firms or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years managerial and supervisory experience in Marketing.
- Minimum 5 years food retail merchandising, consumer packaged goods marketing and/or category management experience required.
- Minimum 2 years planning, organizing, negotiating, and communicating experience.
- 2-3 years project management experience.
- Skilled user of PC, Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
- Expert knowledge or retail, CPGs, and shopping behavior.
- Knowledge of Albertsons Companies operations, including the promotional, pricing and store stocking systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Catalyst processes and procedures.
- Broad knowledge of Catalyst merchandising and placement processes and initiatives. Extensive non-perishable product knowledge.

- Broad knowledge of SSIMS, VTSO, Apollo, Microsoft Office.
- Team oriented with excellent time management and organization skills.
- Customer service oriented with ability to maintain positive attitude in all situations.
- Must be multi-task oriented and able to act as a liaison between all corporate departments.
- Sterling integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
