Description
Position Summary:
To function as a member of the School Based Program, providing supervision, guidance, support and oversight to the School Based Program and the School Based Therapists within the department.
Examples of Essential Functions:
- Responsible for hiring, training and supporting assigned positions, ensuring required competencies and individual’s ability to support organizational and program needs/goals
- Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision for School Based Therapist
- Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of best- practices/evidence-based clinical care within the program
- Responsible for the culture of the Clinical Care Team, which shall demonstrate the characteristics of high performance, agility, positivity and resiliency
- Ensure clinical care services are provided according to care models and with quality outcomes
- Effectively manage regulatory/accreditation/insurance requirements for documentation, service delivery and reporting
- Meet all licensure and ethical standards outlined by governing licensing body
- Demonstrate competency in each of the areas required by accreditation standards
- Be cognizant and respectful of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
- Ensure a sound theoretical base and the ability to conceptualize and implement effective supervision
- Collaborate with other Agency programs and providers, community partners and school to ensure positive program representation
- Complete all necessary trainings as assigned including required continuous education, conference attendance, review of relevant materials and completion of Relias trainings
- Work with Program Manager to follow up on reports and data monitoring with clinicians to ensure timely completion of documentation and partnership contracts
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with Tanager Place policies, procedures and safety practices
- Attend work regularly at the designated place and time
- Perform additional assignments as directed
Qualifications
Acceptable Experience/Training/ Education:
- Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy;
- A minimum of two (2) years’ previous clinical work post Masters degree
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Required Special Qualifications:
- Current Iowa License
