The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation’s naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy’s submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. Job Description
The Navy Nuclear Laboratory team is looking for a qualified Scoping Project Manager to join us for an exciting opportunity in the Director Management Office (DMO). This position will provide project management support to new and existing projects, programs, and initiatives within our group and the Knolls Laboratory Site Directorate. As a Project Manager in the DMO, you will interface with all levels of management and government customers. More about the role:
- Coordinate with Project Sponsors to develop comprehensive project plans and resource estimates, defining project scope and work breakdown structures.
- Develop cost estimates and resource loaded schedules.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Evaluate and initiate Change requests.
- Communicate in an effective and concise way.
- Assist in development of facility plans and execution metrics.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience; project management experience required or; Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience; project management experience required.

Pay Range
$101,600 – $158,800 annually
