You Are:
UST is searching for an SDET who is responsible for testing all aspects of the system including Java and web-based front end running on Windows clients, Linux servers, and Oracle/Postgres database, and ensuring all components work on a variety of hardware ranging from simple workstations to high-end servers.
The Opportunity:
- Create tests for ad hoc situations such as replicating field-reported problems or load testing under specific conditions.
- Quickly become an expert on system functionality and that of various peripheral devices as well as the requirements that drove system design.
- Develop an understanding of user workflow to create, document, and execute test plans.
- Document test results: and communicate issues to the development team while also identifying possible solutions and/or workarounds for problems.
- Tester may be assigned to support one or more ongoing Agile Scrum teams.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
- 5+ years as a software/system tester, integrator, or developer.
- 2+ years of experience in Package deployment and dev ops.
- 4+ years working in an Agile Development Environment.
- Agile Development Processes
- Sufficient hardware/software experience to build and configure workstations and/or servers independently or with minimal guidance to create test environments that mirror a multitude of installed baselines.
- Excellent written and verbal skills are required to create test scenarios and/or scripts
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City, or Washington as set forth below.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for Role
Remote: $55,000-$83,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
