We’re looking for an amazing Copywriter, Brand Communications to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle office. You’ll be responsible for focusing on maintaining brand guidelines and updating copy and product messaging for overarching brand initiatives across multiple communications channels of the organization. You will need to solve problems with writing and have a rich understanding of the voice and tone requirements for multiple marketing channels and compelling consumer copy. Some projects will come with detailed briefs that need to fit into strict brand guidelines, while others will require this role to use expertise to translate loose ideas into compelling copy. In this fast paced environment, the incumbent in this role must quickly grasp needs and take direction easily and fulfill the execution throughout each phase of the project.

Responsibilities
- Maintains brand guidelines and update copy and product messaging for overarching brand initiatives across multiple communications channels i.e., consumer and trade-facing collateral, social media (organic and paid), website content, email, direct mail, and/or public relations
- Produces and delivers clear, articulate, and insightful copy across a variety of communications
- Partners closely with brand agency to support the company’s brand positioning in copy while developing a consistent voice and tone
- Maintains a consistent voice and tone across all content and easily incorporate revisions and suggestions from internal stakeholders and legal & compliance reviewers
Requirements
- Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field of study
- 5 years of professional copywriting experience in corporate marketing communications or an agency environment
- Travel or related industry experience a must
- Demonstrated communication skills and talent for high-caliber copy development and editing
- Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills
- Proven ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal communication skills, including ability to present work to colleagues and senior management
- Understanding of web user experience and writing for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a plus
- Experience working independently as well as within a team working collaboratively to develop concepts to meet business needs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

- Base Salary Range: $54,200.00 to $73,200.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates’ qualifications and experience uniquely.
