Overview
Responsible for coordinating safety and security programs during the US Open
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all of the documents contained within the Command Center Drive.
- Issue all portable radios within the Command Center and maintain the log.
- Work jointly with the other US Open Staff to coordinate all efforts for Lost & Found, both during the US Open and for the post-US Open process.
- Coordinate and operate all security programs supported through the Command Center, including the following:
- Event Management System (EMS)
- Incident Reporting
- Vehicle Access
- Vehicle Delivery Procedure
- Lost & Found
- Text Messaging Program
- US Open Command Center Email Response Protocol
- Coordinate with IT EMS Support staff to ensure the preparation and accuracy of the following:
- 24 Hour Recap Report for Incident Reporting (General; Fire & Life Safety; and Medical-Spectator & Staff)
- Daily Executive Management Summary Report
- Vehicle Access and Vehicle Delivery Procedure Training
- Coordinate the setup of the Vehicle Inspection Station
- Coordinate the set-up of all First Aid Stations, including supplies and equipment needs.
- Revise all Vehicle Delivery Passes and other security-related collateral materials and ensure their production prior to the start of the US Open.
- Work closely with the US Open Director of Security on all security-related training programs and correlating documentation.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possess event operations experience or Sports Business Management college course work
- Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
- Must maintain a positive demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft and other computer programs
- Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament and be available days, nights, weekends and extended hours
- Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Bilingual (preferred)
- This position is exempt
Pay Rate: $400 daily from Aug 14th-Sept 10th
