Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of our Biosecurity Engagement Program under the Global Health Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.
Areas of specific interest and expertise are in the national security & international capacity building domain and will include one or more of the following fields:
- Biosecurity and biosafety
- Cyber Biosecurity
- Emerging technologies (especially artificial intelligence and biotechnologies)
- Research security/research integrity/technology security
Interns will work individually and as a team on the following tasks (specific tasks will be assigned during onboarding), as well as supporting individual programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct subject area research
- International project management
- Assist with program implementation, business development, and monitoring and evaluation tasks
- Work with other interns in the development and implementation of a group project
Qualifications:
- Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
- An understanding of basic project management concepts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, onsite and remotely
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship is required
CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
