The City of Lakeville is recruiting Warming House Supervisors to work various shifts from approximately mid-December to late-February.
Approximately 6 – 15 hours per week on a flexible schedule. This position is strictly evenings and weekends.
First review of applications will be September 20, 2023.
Major Areas of Accountability
- Supervise Warming House Attendants at 8-10 outdoor skating facilities through on-site visits and phone calls.
- Collect and review rink log, timecards, accident reports, and attendant checklists.
- Insure proper inventory of first aid and general supplies at each skating facility.
- Approve Warming House Attendant substitutions and schedule changes. Cover warming house hours as needed.
- Answer Warming House Attendant questions and provide guidance and encouragement on job duties.
- Manage staff issues and enforce policies in accordance with department procedures.
- Meet and communicate regularly with Recreation Program Coordinator to discuss skating rink operations.
- Evaluate Warming House Attendant’s performance and give attendants feedback as necessary.
- Suggest improvements to Recreation Program Coordinator.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or age or older.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record with reliable transportation.
- Mature, responsible individual.
- Must have excellent decision making skills.
- Previous supervisory experience desired.
