Full-Time Lot Attendant – Burlington, VT

The Lot Attendant will fill a leadership role in preparing and delivering vehicles and in some instances, customers, employees or vendors safely and timely to the appropriate destination(s) while giving helpful, courteous and professional customer service.

This role will be located at our Burlington, VT location

The position offers compensation of $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check in vehicles
  • Assist with reconditioning of vehicles and foster vendor relationships
  • Verify and walk sold units to meet condition standards set by sales team prior to delivering vehicles to dealerships
  • Answer questions and provide guidance to less experienced Drivers; act as liaison with outside vendors on site to ensure smooth operations
  • Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road
  • Assist Logistics team with transportation preparation of sold units to the end-buying dealership and deliver customers and vehicles to appropriate destination in a safe and courteous manner
  • Assist in the vehicle deletion and work with PDR vendors
  • Notify Manager of any customer or vehicle problems including daily maintenance, including but not limited to ensuring proper oil, tire and fluid levels and conduct pre-delivery inspections for new vehicles
  • Ensure proper fuel tank level and fill with gasoline, if needed and organize lot in a safe and efficient manner
  • Complete paperwork associated with pick-up and delivery of vehicles and assist with reconciliation of new and used vehicle inventory
  • Organize travel route and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely
  • Install and remove license plates, track plate inventory, review and prepare repurchase units for turn-in

Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
    • Must be willing to accept hourly compensation of $15.00 per hour
    • Must be living within a reasonable commute of no more than 1 hour to the location(s) listed above within 30 days of anticipated start date
    • Apart from religious observations, must be able to work an average of 40 hours weekly between Monday – Saturday.
