We are seeking an exceptional Security Engagement Manager to join the AWS Security Outreach team to drive engagements with security researchers and the security community. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused mindset and the ability to coordinate across teams to mitigate risks within tight time frames. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leading cohesive responses to security issues, and delivering results against the dynamic security landscape. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
– 3+ years of experience working cross functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
– 3+ years of experience in stakeholder management, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and multiple levels of leadership.
– Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years of program, project, or engagement management experience
– 3+ years of working directly with security response and engineering teams.
– 3+ years of experience in a role that focuses on IT security and/or cloud technology (e.g. security operations, security engineering, threat intelligence).
– 3+ years of experience in a community building role, including identifying and growing relationships with key external stakeholders.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a track record of communicating with internal and external stakeholders and multiple levels of leadership.
– Ability to solve problems, remove obstacles, and influence stakeholders in an effort to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
– Strong customer focus, sense of urgency, and problem solving and negotiation skills.
– Ability to work autonomously and as a team, with a bias for action and critical thinking.
– Experience with AWS services and security concepts.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
