The candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining critical security features on autonomous trucks and protecting autonomous trucks from a variety of cyber threats at all levels, from hardware and firmware to application software and network transport. The candidate will work cross-functionally to identify security functions we need, then work independently to develop, build up, and validate the corresponding functions. The candidate will also perform threat analysis and security auditing, then implement remediations directly to ensure the security of autonomous trucks. The candidate shall have the passion for the security of autonomous vehicles and enjoy highly technically challenging work.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on engineering work for system security, such as OS security, secure boot, key management, certificate management, and secure storage.
- Work directly with engineering staff to drive security initiatives.
- Manage third party audits, threat assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing.
- Own the tracking and reporting of remediation efforts.
- Create near and long-term roadmaps for security risk management.
- Provide Information security awareness training across the organization.
- Lead the documentation, design, implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures and standards.
- Ensure security of disaster recovery and data backup systems.
- Oversee response to security incidents including resolution and post-mortem.
Required Skills:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills using C++ and Python
- Knowledge and experience on OS and OS security, secure communication protocols, secure boot, key management and protection, and public key infrastructure
- Knowledge and experience on threat analysis and risk analysis, and HSM
- Experience with CAN, V2X, Linux, or AWS security best practices, familiarity with ISO21434 preferred
$150,000 – $190,000 a year
