Job Summary

PSEG is seeking an intern within the Nuclear Innovation Operations team for the summer of 2023.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Advocating and promoting a continuous improvement/innovation culture throughout PSEG Nuclear to support the PSEG Nuclear Fleet Strategic Goals. This could include conducting presentations, providing informal training, performing assessments, sending out communications, meeting with various departments/individuals to promote and solicit new ideas for innovation/continuous improvement opportunities, etc.
2. Developing communications, presentations and other various continuous improvement/innovation reports for PSEG Corporate, PSEG Nuclear, Senior and Executive Leaders or other key stakeholders.
3. Developing and maintaining the innovation/continuous improvement process along with any supporting policies/procedures/documents/tracking tools/software applications for PSEG Nuclear.
4. Developing, maintaining and tracking of the innovation/continuous improvement program results and/or metrics for PSEG Nuclear.
5. Identification of opportunities, projects, initiatives for innovation/continuous improvement for PSEG Nuclear.
6. Developing, participating in, or leading other innovation/continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by the Manager of Innovation.
7. Support the Innovation team by sharing duties/responsibilities/workload to ensure the overall success of the team in meeting its commitments and goals.

This position is remote with the possibility of being on-site for meetings and during the in-processing stage of on-boarding

Job Specific Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Candidate must be working towards their bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Nuclear, Computer, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development/Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, MIS, BIS, IT

By June 2023, candidate must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.

Ability to develop entry level Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports.

Proficient in the use of other Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must meet nuclear requirements for un-escorted access.

Desire to pursue a career in the energy industry.

Preferred Qualifications: 3.0 GPA
Visual Basic for Applications
Python programming

Should be located within reasonable travel time to PSEG Nuclear facilities located at Hancocks Bridge, NJ.
