Senior Accountant, Home Entertainment Transactional Accounting

OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for support and analysis of partner accounting and reporting for Paramount’s worldwide home entertainment business (PHE). Includes preparing monthly financial reports for PHE partners (Viacom and CBS), reporting and reconciliation of monthly partner intercompany, participation audit research and analysis, and maintenance of partner master data.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

– Prepare monthly financial reporting deliverables for PHE partners, primarily Viacom and CBS

– Research and analysis related to PHE partner reporting

– Research and support participation audits and third party reporting

– Manage related-party reporting between PHE and partners

– Prepare monthly account reconciliations, and ensure reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner

– Provide support for master data issues related to Paramount video catalog titles across multiple systems

– Ensure PHE partners’ title master data is set up and maintained in PHE’s systems

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting

– 5+ years related experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in month end close and reporting preferred

– Experience in entertainment industry preferred

– Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP and IFRS

– Advance proficiency MS Office (specifically Excel)

– Strong analytical and organizational skills

– Self-starter with ability to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions

– Excellent written & oral communication and inter-personal skills

– Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

– Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $70,000.00 – 80,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
