About the Position

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, and recommending and implementing process improvements to increase the output and value of the Finance department. This high-visibility position reports to the Vice President of Finance and will have frequent direct contact with the CFO.

As a Senior Accountant at Membersy, you will:

    • Oversee the daily accounting activities of the company, including accounts payable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports are produced on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
    • Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
    • Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems, tools, and processes to support business operations and growth
    • Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
    • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required
    • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

What we’re looking for in a highly qualified candidate:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance, with at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant role
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with QuickBooks or similar GL systems
    • Previous experience with Bill.com, Airbase, Ramp, or similar expense management systems
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines
    • The ideal candidate resides in the greater Austin metro area, but remote work will be considered for exceptional candidates #LI-Hybrid
    • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship

$90,000 – $110,000 a year
