The position pays a base annual salary between $80,000 – $95,000, depending on experience.
Job Description:The Senior Accountant is responsible for the financial and operational accounting for multiple apartment communities, including financial statement preparation and account analysis. The position reports directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close for a large multifamily portfolio including GAAP entries and reporting
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and resolving any and all discrepancies
- Ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Meeting all financial reporting deadlines
- Accurately and appropriately recording revenues and expenses
- Assisting with year-end audits
- Assisting with additional projects as needed
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Accounting/Finance degree required
- Multifamily accounting experience preferred
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Yardi experience preferred
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and diligent with tasks and responsibilities
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
