Overview
Under direction of the Controller, the Senior Accountant monitors, controls, and audits all financial transactions. This role performs a full range of professional accounting duties involved in fiscal management, record keeping, reporting and financial analysis.
This role will pay a salary of $65,000 to $80,000.

Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close.
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Prepare/Review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Perform all general accounting functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Process and prepare accounts account receivable invoices.
- Perform analysis of accounting records.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and select GL Accounts.
- Support cash management and cash monitoring within the Finance department.
- Examine and verify a variety of financial documents and reports.
- Other miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned by Controller.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience preferably including some supervisory experience.
- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
- Capable of working with all levels of management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook required
