Reports to: VP of Risk
Salary Pay Range: $80,000-$110,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

What’s the role?
Knight Insurance Group is a leading insurance carrier seeking a Senior Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, as well as a strong math, statistics, actuarial science, and/or quant background. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the VP of Risk and other key stakeholders to provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to help drive business performance.
What is it like being part of operations team?
- The Risk & Data team conducts complex analyses of insurance industry data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- The team often meets to discuss questions or concerns in order to meet objectives and accomplish tasks/projects.
What you’ll do as a Senior Analyst?
- Develop predictive models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute analytical projects that support key business initiatives
- Build and maintain complex queries and reports in SQL and Excel
- Leverage data visualization tools to communicate findings and insights to key stakeholders
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and insurance
Qualifications
What we look for in our Senior Analyst?
- Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on data analysis and/or risk management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced skills in Excel and SQL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong attention to detail
