Senior Analyst, Ad Ops

Job Description:

As an Advertising Operations Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering business intelligence and presenting actionable reporting and analysis to drive measurable, profitable decisions across the DOCS team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a solid understanding of how the digital ecosystem works.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engage cross-functionally with sales, account management, and marketing team to build develop & implement enhancements to reporting and analytics processes
  • Development and management of comprehensive data-driven digital reporting and storytelling: such as site health, campaign monitoring, ad quality
  • Create/maintain reports for use by the Digital Operations and Client Success Teams as well as other groups
  • Query large datasets, and combine disparate data, using analytics software or SQL to deliver actionable insights (qualitative and quantitative), which would empower the internal teams to understand their KPIs, equip them to make informed, data-driven decisions, and drive optimization
  • Collaborate with internal departments on ad hoc reporting needs
  • Proactively identify thresholds and benchmarks that can be used to trigger alerts
  • Leveraging your capacity to use tools like SQL to derive tactical and strategic insights and communicate them back internally
  • Contribute to building roadmaps and overall business KPIs and prioritize accordingly
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions that provide efficiencies
  • Communicate performance and articulate in a concise narrative with clear actionable takeaways for stakeholders
  • Measure success (ROI, Conversion) of digit al advertising campaigns, offers, and other marketing programs via attribution models, mixed media modeling, and custom reporting
  • Develop and maintain functional and technical requirements for various projects and pipelines. Lead and facilitate cross-functional team meetings, working sessions, and focus groups to gather information needed for documentation.
  • Analyze business needs and recommend practical solutions to complex business challenges. Leverage problem-solving skills to make decisions that drive results.
  • Work with existing tools, such as JIRA, to document and maintain requirements.
  • Define, build and manage overall testing and quality control processes.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of digital systems including, or similar to Google Ad Manager, YieldEx, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Moat, SalesForce, and Google Cloud Suite
  • Good understanding of the relationship between analytics, operations, and other lines of business.
  • Experience with industry-leading BI tools, such as Domo, Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker, Datorama
  • Expert level Excel or Google Sheets data modeling experience: demonstrated ability to develop complex spreadsheets, macros, and/or custom formulas
  • Experience in SQL or Python for data analysis
  • Experience in the languages of data manipulation and in visualization — i.e. javascript, Python, HTML, Google App Scripts
  • Experience building / managing pipelines using tools, such as Jenkins, Airflow, Alteryx
  • Proven track record of providing valuable insight from data
  • Strong capacity to work with internal partners to improve processes and develop best Practices
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical and technical professionals
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Must love data, debugging, identifying the root cause of an issue, and ensuring excellent quality data
  • Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and highly motivated
  • Passionate about automating all processes
  • BA/BS College degree preferred
  • Master’s Degree in a related field a plus

Pay Range: $40,000 – $160,000
