Position Summary
We are looking for you – dynamic, best-in-class talent – to join the UM team as a Senior Analyst, Analytics. In this role you will assist in the analytics process for our top clients and help take analytics to the next level. As a Senior Analyst, Decision Sciences you will create, innovate, and guide the analytics process. You will drive communications with key client stakeholders around global and local media performance and suggest recommendations and conversation on how to evolve and improve. This opportunity will kick-start your career in media analytics and provide a platform to partner with the world’s leading consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with senior level Decision Sciences staff to manage projects timelines and deliveries, while working and owning certain pieces of the projects independently
- Manipulate multiple sources of data to analyze the state our clients’ businesses across multiple dimensions (search interest, website visits, social media, advertising activity, TV presence)
- Compile and assess competitive advertising media intelligence
- Apply independent critical thinking to analyze vast data sets to uncover media insights, what’s working, what’s not working
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to diagnose performance shifts and collaborate on optimizations
- Be the face of local market performance and presenting insights and learnings to key client stakeholders
- Be proactive in diagnosing data issues and providing creative solutions to comprehensively analyze campaigns and business performance
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with communication planners, creative assets, media planners, buyers, clients and other partner agencies
- Maintain and lead conversations around Data Extraction, Transformation & Loading (ETL), Quality & Hygiene with Database Engineering teams
- Contribute to the department’s overall capabilities and understanding of media and communications channels
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 1+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics, Performance Analytics, Programming, Relational Database Work, or Relevant Academic Experience.
- Must have experience working with large datasets (media data across multiple data sources including but not limited to Google DCM, AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) to uncover insights that are essential to business optimizations
- Able to present media findings and visualize in a storyboard format to coherently communicate it to the end stakeholders both internally within multiple teams in the organization and externally to the clients.
- Basic understanding of how different media channels operate (TV, OLV, Display, Audio, Social, etc.) and work together.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, and Google/Adobe Analytics
- Working knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, and R is a plus
- Basic knowledge and understanding of MMM is preferred
- Be organized and comfortable juggling multiple projects at once across multiple marketing media
- Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

We also offer a competitive Total Compensation package, including a competitive salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award or a relevant incentive award.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
