Summary
The Senior Analyst, Rail Operations will be responsible for supporting the GLOVIS Rail Transportation Network by creating specific reports and conducting in-depth analysis that will lead to better overall optimization. The Senior Analyst will work with rail vendors on a daily basis and ensure data transmissions are received in ITMS system promptly and correctly. Analyst will also ensure timely payment to our rail vendors by resolving audit holds. Furthermore, the position will regularly report to our customers with any reports and information when requested.
Responsibilities
- Primary Responsibilities
- Process and audit invoices from rail vendors, both manual and EDI
- Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies with rail carriers resulting from audit holds
- Review manual invoices and backup data for exactness and ensure proper documentation/approvals are provided
- Troubleshoot invoicing and waybill/delivery file transmission issues for the vendors, identifying root cause errors
- Work closely with our IT department to help resolve outstanding invoices from rail vendors
- Work closely with our finance department to make sure vendors invoices are paid in a timely manner
- Manage billing aging and ensure AP accounts with rail vendors are current
- Work closely with billing department to help monitor and track missing waybill/shipping records on vehicles and communicate to vendors to submit
- Review and analyze rail AR accounts and make sure GLOVIS is receiving payments accordingly
- Secondary Responsibilities
- Create railcar delay reports for customers daily
- Monitor dwell time, ensuring vehicles are unloaded in a timely manner. Research delays and provide status updates on all aged vehicles
- Communicate with the customers and rail vendors on any potential issues
- Request shipment reports and ETAs from rail vendors to report to our customers
- Calculate allocation of permits for embargo rail ramps and distribute them to various port locations
- Assist with land bridge projects as well as upcoming projects
- Manage rail pipeline report and work alongside VL rail ramp team members to provide unloading ETAs
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Support in special projects and other duties as assigned
- Create ad-hoc reports
Compensation Range
$55,000- $65,000 Annually

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
- 2 years of experience in Billing, Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, or Transportation Required
