Senior Application and System Architect

Your Role and Responsibilities

Work on a data migration project from AIX to Linux system. Design, create, implement, maintain, tune and support DB2 databases on and file server components, process schedulers, client-server databases, BMC software, and other related products. Maintain, tune, and support Cognos and WebSphere Server.

  • Manages the business results, including contract fulfillment, project plans, milestones, deliverables and financial targets for multiple related projects to deliver a desired outcome for the customer and/or business
  • Serves as the interface for multiple project managers and makes decisions that can affect multiple projects and/or an entire program outcome
  • Provides leadership to the project managers and teams and is an advocate for the performance of the overall program, individual projects, and success metrics

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $107,600 to $215,200 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Growth Driven Profit-Sharing plan. Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10 years + experience in DB2 Database Administration
  • Strong experience in database sizing and performance tuning
  • Experience in database cold and hot backups, Disaster Recovery
  • Experience in Cognos and WebSphere
  • Basic knowledge cloud related technologies and should some working knowledge of AWS cloud and should be able to manage database instances on cloud containers (Kubernetes/EC2, etc.)
