Qualifications:
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Physics or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
      • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4 + years of industry experience in developing and leading machine learning and/or artificial intelligence research and development projects

Preferred qualifications:

  • Demonstrated technical skills and knowledge in large language model , deep learning, transformer models, data engineering, cloud stack technologies, information fusion, large-scale machine learning models .
  • Proficient coding in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C# or similar) and experience with launching products
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, designers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders, with proven communication , collaboration, and leadership skills, for translating research into a production service .
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, and to adapt to changing priorities and feedbac k
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity at work and identify research areas independently

Applied Sciences IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Applied Scientist , you will:

  • Drive the development and execution of cutting-edge research projects in machine learning and artificial intelligence for cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security challenges and opportunities .
  • Leverage security data from various sources and domains to design and implement innovative solutions that achieve rigorous metrics and address customer needs .
  • Communicate the results and impact of your research and development to senior leadership and external audiences through publications, presentations, and demos .
  • Collaborate with product groups and other stakeholders to transfer your research and development solutions to scalable and robust products and services .
  • Mentor and guide less experienced scientists in the team
