Annuities Senior Associate – Investment Proposal Support Team

NYLIFE Securities provides brokerage services to retail investors through more than 6,000 affiliated Registered Representatives (RRs). NYLIFE Securities RRs offer investment products to meet a broad set of investor needs across various registered products.
Opportunity
The Annuities Senior Associate will leverage a deep understanding of variable annuities to provide guidance to our RRs and IARs on the use of our Investment Proposal tool. An investment proposal helps the RR or IAR support a recommended investment or portfolio strategy to a client or prospect. After entering the client’s goals and other assumptions, the tool generates an illustrative portfolio and related data, which the RR or IAR reviews with the client. The associate will gain an opportunity to learn about brokerage, mutual fund, variable universal life, and managed account solutions as well.
The Annuities Senior Associate will also support the RRs and IARs to better understand the annuity product solutions available to their clients and assist with the evaluation of prospective rollovers of qualified plan assets while ensuring New York Life’s compliance with regulatory obligations.
Based on the team’s engagement with RRs and IARs, the Annuities Senior Associate will also be responsible for gathering insights and making recommendations to the Team Lead which will inform systems enhancements and development of reference material for the field and our training curriculum.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Economics.
- 3-5 years of experience with Investments Proposals, portfolio analysis software, or similar experience.
- Strong communication and service acumen.
- Understanding of regulatory landscape and evolving regulatory obligations.
- Extensive knowledge of variable annuities
- Series 6 or 7; Series 65 preferable (or attained within 3 months of hire).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, customer service environment.
- Demonstrated organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
- Broker-dealer, RIA, or wealth management experience a plus.
Salary range: $65,000-$95,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
