Senior Associate IT/OT Business Applications

The Senior Associate IT/OT Business Applications will be responsible for the technical support of vendor packages for applications across our organization and participating in the development of custom applications. This will include troubleshooting issues, performing upgrades, maintaining application integration components, and database administration. This position will involve all product development life cycle aspects, including gathering user requirements, designing the application, developing and programming the code, end-to-end testing, deployment, and documentation. This includes leadership in the software development life cycle to ensure project tasks are completed. The applicant must be able to perform tasks independently and/or with minimum guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with software vendors to install packages or modules within existing applications
  • Support existing applications, including troubleshooting and resolving production problems
  • Partners with business representatives to understand, define, and achieve system goals, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs
  • Develop functional scope and specifications for new systems and for significant enhancement of existing systems
  • Manage software development projects that include both colleagues and consultants as participants
  • Draft test plans and drive unit, integration and system testing, and coordination of user acceptance testing
  • Write and implement efficient code based on business requirements as well as review code provided by colleagues or consultants
  • Must be flexible to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems, and other corporate

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an equivalent position
  • Experience with software development life cycle or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to learn new technologies as needed for the job using documentation and other available sources
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong leadership and communication and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • Ability to code using multiple Programming Languages, such as .Net Framework (including VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET), Java, C/C++, SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript
  • Familiar with administration and development within the Microsoft Azure platform
  • Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, and API design for extensibility and portability

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $88,779.85 – $133,169.78. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
