Job Summary:
ATP is transforming the finance, human resources and research administration support environment across the UW-System, including the selection and implementation of a new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system to support the changes. The activities will include the review and redesign of business processes (including use of shadow and bolt-on IT systems), redesign of the chart of accounts, and integration of efforts with several ongoing University and UW System projects. As part of this effort and in preparation for a new ERP, the University is assembling functional Design Teams in the areas of finance, research administration and human resources. Design Teams will be responsible for proposing standardized future roles and processes, and Core Teams will be responsible for reviewing the output of the Design Teams and making future state finance, research administration and human resources recommendations to the project’s leadership.

Qualifications:
Required:
1. Experience designing and /or maintaining a large-scale ERP.
2. Understands functional configuration requirements.
3. Understands how security affects business process design.
4. Experience in process design, focusing on process simplification while meeting the needs of diverse stakeholder groups.
5. Experience leading a team.
Preferred:
1. Knowledge of Generally Acepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
2. Preferred knowledge of UWSA and State of Wisconsin accounting and reporting principles.
3. Preferred experience configuring projects and fixed assets in a large-scale ERP.
4. Preferred understanding of UW Departmental, Campus and UWSA project and fixed asset requirements and use of ancillary systems to meet accrual accounting and reporting requirements.
5. Preferred understanding of UW-Madison and UW System business support environments and service delivery models.
6. Preferred experience participating on cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Research Administration) of diverse individuals is desired.
7. Preferred experience configuring finance business processes in Workday.

Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $100,000 – $125,000, with final salary and title determination based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Information:
Anticipated duration of this position is expected to be 24-30 months. End date is dependent upon project completion.
