We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Associate, Technology Product Manager to join our TSG (Technology Service Group) This role is located in either New York, NY, or Pittsburgh PA, or Washington DC

This will be a hybrid position.

Summary:

The Technology Strategy & Product Management team in Issuer Services Engineering defines product vision and strategy based on customer needs and competitive landscape.

The team is responsible for products throughout their life cycle and works closely with technology, business, and operations groups to continuously improve the products and solutions.

Strategy & Product Managers conceptualize new solutions and enhancements to products, define the Product Strategy & Roadmap, and promote the adoption of our solutions across the wide range of BNY Mellon customers including Federal, State and Local Government clients.

Strategy & Product Managers work with a variety of teams for the execution of the Product Strategy & Roadmap and the subsequent Launch & Rollout including – Technology, User Experience, Marketing, Project Management and Business Analysts among others.

Product Managers serve as the voice of the customer internally; they articulate the product positioning, benefits, target customers, and promote the products both internally and externally.

In addition, Product Managers are also involved in client engagements, strategic product meetings with clients, product demonstrations and sales initiatives. Engagements will also include how to design and internal product strategy to increase efficiency within the organization, improve client experience & delivery, and align the strategy to key BNY Mellon enterprise initiatives to help bring the best of BNYM services to our clients.

Qualifications & Requirements:

In this role you will:

Own select emerging technology products oriented towards Federal, State and Local client with a full grasp of the market and next generation innovations. You’ll share that knowledge broadly, using this expertise to define strategy and inform the product roadmap.

Develop leading services to support both internal team and external clients seeking powerful tools to help meet their mission goals. Your focus will be on quality delivery and adoption.

Contribute to the ongoing development of new client facing products and support the build out of a potential client facing platform serving millions.

Perform market studies to best position emerging technology solutions with market and client needs.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four (4) years applicable experience in Financial Services building large robust technology based products
  • Expertise with MS Office, particularly MS Excel require
  • Experience with product buildouts in an Agile environment
  • Use of Jira a big plus
  • Experience working with external and internal clients (requirement gathering, enhancements and customization forecasting)
  • Product experience, preferably in the financial industry and technology
  • Experience successfully leading complex products, which require engagement from diverse teams with their own set of priorities, to positive outcomes
  • A passion for improving our services and client delivery of elegant and powerful digital tools they will want to use

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $76,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
