Microosft’s Maps & Local team is on a mission to empower people and organizations everywhere to explore, navigate, and connect in the physical world via Maps and Local data, services and experiences provided within the Microsoft Edge and Bing toolsets.
As a Senior Business Manager you will be part of the Maps & Local team within Windows & Web Experiences. You will help drive our team to deliver high quality business results across our products and services. You will help drive and s upport day-to-day operations and execution.

- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, and/or business-related roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building reporting, visualization and dashboards to drive insights from organizational &/or financial data using advanced Excel and/or other reporting toolsets (IE: PowerBI).
- Experience in data/information management, organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, drive for results, and written and verbal communications
- Experience in project management skills.
Business Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 – $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 – $195,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures accurate and healthy financial management and compliance scorecards for the team/organization. Supports the internal continuation of business operations during all times, including periods of change or special circumstances through tactical execution of continuity plans. Helps drives accountability for the team and organization in executing core business activities.
- Helps create understanding of priorities based on data and scorecards. Creates clarity in ambiguous situations to facilitate and drive prioritization and decision making for leaders across the organization. Drive understanding and insights from quantitative data for tracking performance. Aligns priorities and reporting to key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics
- Supports the annual budget process under the direction of others. Uses understanding of the organization’s strategy and deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design and build budgets and resource plans.
- Builds trust, encourages collaboration, and enables fact-based decision making for leader through sharing of timely, accurate, and relevant information. Continues to build broader networks to foster relationships that support execution across the business. - Participates in and provides perspective and a point of view to the leader on specific areas within or external to the organization, and with regard to communications, budgets, people, and the resource management. Informs tactical and strategic business decisions for leader.
- Leverages knowledge of the leader’s goals and approach to ensure team activities are aligned with the leader’s objectives. Leverages data insights and relationships to influence and advise on strategic decisions, content, and/or expertise. Helps to drive accountability for processes, supporting communications, and reporting to ensure alignment across groups. Contributes to cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage business needs.
