We are looking for a Senior Business Operations Program Manager to drive program management in our Engineering, Science, and Technology organization, supporting executives in the Prime Air division. This role will drive leaders and cross-functional teams across a large engineering organization to deliver on our program milestones, develop and drive our business cadence, own people strategy and employee engagement, and work across the Prime Air leadership team. This role requires excellent leadership skills to build trust and drive alignment across all levels of the organization.

Export Control License

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide support for Vice Presidents and Directors in support of streamlining and improving program operations
  • Work with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and Program Managers (PMs) across hardware, software, autonomy, and research science teams to deliver the Prime Air technology defined in the roadmap
  • Develop and facilitate internal mechanisms to succinctly document current program status, risks, help needed, and metrics to Sr. Leadership
  • Own and track status, risks, and opportunities to deliver on the Prime Air Engineering roadmap
  • Work with Sr. Leadership and PM/TPM Teams to create, implement, and drive processes that improve execution and communication

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Prior Business Operations experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
