As a Business Process Analyst supporting the Indian Health Service you will be trusted to work with business and technology teams to provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for basic business process engagements.

HOW A BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Analyze user and stakeholder needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects associated with an electronic health record system.
  • Develop functional and technical requirements and document them in the requirements repository (Azure DevOps).
  • Manage the full requirements lifecycle.
  • Perform functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
  • Consult with clients to determine optimum solution design for assigned projects.
  • Write and update project documentation including user manuals, presentations, and training materials.
  • Develop test use cases and scripts to be used in user acceptance testing. Able to execute test cases and perform internal/functional testing.
  • Collaborate with software development teams and adhere to all contract personnel reporting requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries from the client, clinicians, field personnel, developers, and other customers.
  • Submit status reports to the PMO and/or Lead Analyst.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Six years of general experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline and at least three years of specialized experience, or four years of general experience with a MA/MS degree and at least two years of specialized experience, or ten years of general experience with at least eight years of specialized experience with no degree.
  • Experience creating process and data flow diagrams, prototypes/wireframes.
  • Has experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML).
  • Experience writing use cases and user stories.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including MS Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work on a remote/distributed team.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understand electronic health system functionality.
  • Agile certification such as Scrum Alliance CSM or Scaled Agile SAFe.
  • Experience with Health IT, Clinical Reporting and EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS or legacy Vista.

The likely salary range for this position is $86,400 – $129,600, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
