If you answered “yes” to these questions, you are invited to join the Facilities Construction Management Division of the Department of Facilities & Fleet Management.
This dynamic work group is seeking a Senior Business Services Analyst to head a team that manages the finances of the planning, design, and construction of capital facilities associated with the Prince William County Capital Improvement Program.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. They will possess a thorough knowledge of principles and practices associated with project management, municipal budgeting processes, and financial and statistical analysis. General knowledge of building design and construction terminology and processes are a plus.
Incumbent will supervise one professional-level Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Fiscal Analyst and serve as a subject matter expert for the Division Principal Engineers and Assistant Director. The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison with the County’s financial and budget functions to ensure Division budgets, payments, and cash flow are accurate and current.
Responsibilities include reporting operating and capital budgets to Division Leadership, producing Capital Improvement Program (CIP) financial reports and updates, overseeing all Division financial/accounting functions, and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of the Division.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERENCES: The successful candidate will have…
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or related field, and five years of experience with municipal capital budgeting, financial / statistical analysis, and construction accounting in a local government setting.
- General knowledge of building design and construction processes are a plus.
- General experience mentoring junior staff members, is desired.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
37.5 Hours a week. May need to attend (in-person or virtually) the occasional evening Board of County Supervisors meeting and/or early morning (7:00 AM) construction site meetings.
Core work hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a one day a week telework option.
