Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for an accomplished Senior Business Value Advisor of Cloud Economics, Enterprise Transformation (ET) in the AWS Partner Organization to support and execute strategic programs with key members of the rapidly growing Enterprise Transformation team.
As a Sr Bus Value Advisor, Cloud Economics or Dealmaker within AWS, you will support senior stakeholders both internally and within our customer organizations to develop an understanding of the economic value of AWS services and adoption. For our top target customers and/or partners, you will seek to develop a well-rounded view of a customer organization, its business priorities, its competitors, and the markets in which it operates to build compelling cloud business cases; and then you will train others on how to do the same. You will identify economic barriers to adoption of AWS with these customers and develop repeatable solutions to overcome these barriers. You will be at ease explaining the economic value proposition for AWS to a broad audience of stakeholders across the customer organization. You will be viewed as a problem solver for our customers’ biggest commercial challenges in relation to cloud opportunity.
Your responsibilities will include driving economic-related BD activities within AWS, supporting the Enterprise Transformation team focused on IT Outsourcing conversions. You will help AWS customers and prospective customers shape their information technology strategies and IT financial models, and quantify the benefits of running applications in the cloud. To do this, you will work with AWS partners and other groups within AWS to give AWS customers the best insights into how to run their applications on AWS, creating business value in the most cost-effective manner. You will serve as an expert resource for the identification of cloud adoption opportunity and economic reality for our customers. You will enable regional Cloud Economics Analysts to support partner and AWS business development managers for specified customer proposals. You will also be expected to be the focal point for all TCO, ROI and cost efficiency business development activities related to Enterprise Transformation customers. The ability to document and translate operational as well as legal ramifications of an opportunity will be critical. Last you will be creating custom solutions and programs that can be utilized at an aggregate Partner Level for their internal consumption or their customers consumption.
The ideal candidate will possess a business and IT background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the highest levels of customers and IT Outsourcing partners. The candidate will have the technical depth and business experience to easily communicate the economic benefits of cloud computing to IT architects, engineering teams and C-Level executives. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. The ideal candidate will also be deeply familiar with complex legacy IT environments, with data center economics, with common industry use cases for cloud adoption, and be capable of creating detailed cost models for these industry specific use cases. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities to influence decision makers in a consultative selling approach (preferably through previous sales or presales experience) to progress decision making through their personal involvement with developing and presenting a compelling business case.
Position may require the ability to travel 25% to 40% of the time, as needed
Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a key member of the AWS Enterprise Transformation Tech BusDev team to directly support top partners and customers and articulate the economic value of cloud to their organizations
• Building a seamless end to end Customer journey through the various stages of the purchasing and cloud adoption cycle
• Develop customer-facing presentations derived from cloud economics business value
• Serve as a key source of market insights into how our customers view the economic benefit of AWS
• Prepare and present internal business reviews to senior management teams regarding progress and roadblocks on economic-related issues facing our customer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5-10 years of value engineering, management consulting or financial modeling & business economic analysis experience
– Experience creating and presenting business cases to non-technical decision makers
– Experience working with C-Suite executives
– Working experience and knowledge of cloud landscape
– Strong business sense paired with deep technical knowledge, and capable of understanding the complexities of IT environments
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations, including sales, marketing, business development and training
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– MBA or equivalent relevant business experience
– Experience working with/for Systems Integrators or ISVs and knowing the market landscape
– Experience leading data-driven analyses and influencing results
– Experience working cross-functionally in a multi-geo organization
– Working experience and knowledge of IT Outsourcing landscape
– Understanding of AWS product line, customer on-premise IT infrastructure, and experience in building business cases which quantify industry specific benefits highly desired.
– Experience with data center migration and IT refresh analysis is highly desired
– Previous sales or presales experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market.
