Primary Responsibilities

HDR is looking for a Senior Civil Site Engineer to join our Water Business Group team in New York/New Jersey. This individual will be responsible for the design of facilities and related sites in support of Water/Wastewater projects. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, permit applications and construction administration. They will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in site development and the design of building related site civil (site plans, grading, utilities/yard piping, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is required. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound civil site designs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline required

PE required (NY or NJ preferred)

Minimum of 10 years of experience in site development and civil design required

Strong operating knowledge of Civil 3D required

Strong knowledge of modeling software such as Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, HydroCAD, Bentley StormCAD, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

MS or MSCE Degree in Civil Engineering preferred

Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired

Position can be based in Woodcliff Lake NJ, White Plains NY or NYC.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $124,775.00 – $178,250.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
