The Senior Cognitive AI / Machine Learning Professional leverages large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop tactical and strategic insights. The Senior Cognitive AI / Machine Learning Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Cognitive AI / Machine Learning Professional:

  • Collaborates with data science teams, business partners and teammates to set objectives, approaches, and work plans.
  • Researches and evaluates new analytical methodologies, approaches, and solutions.
  • Begins to influence department’s strategy.
  • Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
  • Develops and maintains the NLP platform solution, delivering real time inference for business use cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics and/or related field and 5 years or experience OR Master’s Degree in a similar field and 3 years of experience
  • 3-5 years of professional experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop tactical and strategic insights
  • 2+ years Python experience
  • NoSQL experience
  • Cloud experience
  • Experience driving resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area
  • Clear oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible, dynamic personality who is able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics and/or related field
  • Healthcare or managed care experience
  • Experience performing data management, mining, and manipulation along with analytics
  • Azure experience
  • Kubernetes experience

Additional Information

Location/Work Style: Remote US. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours beginning at 9:00A.M. EST.

Work at Home Guidance

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
  • Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership. (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
  • Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$138,400 – $190,450 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
