The Opportunity
Join our team as the Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst and take on a pivotal role in shaping our company’s success in both domestic and international markets. As the Senior Analyst, you will play a critical part in driving our division and portfolio growth strategies by providing comprehensive research and analysis of our competitive landscape, market share, and industry trends.
In this dynamic role, you will lead competitive/market assessments and support strategic planning efforts, helping to refine our market growth and go-to-market strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating market opportunities, sizing, and trends, enabling us to make informed decisions and stay ahead of the competition.

Core Responsibilities:
- Be the driving force behind market research and analysis, competitive landscape analysis, and growth strategy development.
- Employ a range of financial, statistical, and qualitative data analysis techniques to uncover insights about markets and competitors.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within the GBDU and across divisions/portfolios to research and analyze data, identify growth opportunities, and explore emerging markets.
- Contribute to the development of market and competitive landscape tools that will enhance our assessment and strategy development efforts.
- Leverage various open sources, ensuring that we maintain a current and comprehensive view of our competitive landscape.
- Transform market insights and implications into clear and concise summaries and recommendations for our division and portfolio teams.
- Take lead on market and competitor research and analysis requests that support account planning, portfolio strategies, and capture activities.
- Prepare standard, periodic analyses and reports on key customers and top competitors, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support the account planning process by providing in-depth analyses and insights on market trends, customer buying habits, and competitor strategies.
What We Value
- Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree + Nine years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Seven years of relevant experience, or PhD+ Four years of relevant experience
- Level 5: Bachelor’s Degree + 12 years of relevant experience , Master’s Degree + 10 years of relevant experience, PHD + 8 years of relevant experience
- Must have government contracting experience
- Background in strategy, market or competitive intelligence
- Experience performing market/competitor research and analysis within Abt’s domestic customers (HHS, EPA, USDA, DoEd, DOL, etc) and our global development customers (USAID, UK FCDO and Australia DFAT) with an understanding policies and regulations
- Strong analysis and presentation skills
- Analytical skills, including ability to develop spreadsheets, to analyze companies, including financial statements, and to provide actionable intelligence and insights
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends, needs and expectations.
- Ability to identify and analyze data and information from available resources and identify trends, draw conclusions and determine connections to inform key business decisions.
- Proficiency in common competitive intelligence research and analysis tools (FPDS, USASpending.org, GovWin) and other resources.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $105,120.07 to $168,192.11 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
