Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant in Legal Business Services, you will work with a team of experienced professionals supporting corporate legal departments and/or other related functions. You will contribute directly to delivering first class services to our clients, and your support of the engagement lifecycle will include solution design, service delivery, and mentoring junior practitioners.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Participate in setting engagement objectives
- Develop project plans for workstreams or components of an engagement
- Help identify, design, and implement creative solutions to client challenges
- Conduct detailed analyses to draw conclusions and develop insightful recommendations
- Produce high-quality client deliverables and executive-level presentations under tight deadlines
- Lead meetings with client stakeholders
- Participate in presentation of findings to senior client stakeholders
- Develop and maintain working relationships with client stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior practitioners
- Provide subject matter expertise on pursuits and proofs of concept
- Contribute to pursuit presentations and presentation materials
- Meaningfully participate in or lead the creation of thought leadership content
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years of demonstrated experience leading high performing teams/workstreams
- Basic understanding of corporate business operations and functional business processes
- Strong core consulting skills, including agility, innovation, and teaming
- Experience directly leading workstreams or small teams within the context of a larger project
- Experience establishing and managing priorities and delegation of tasks
- Experience identifying opportunities to improve processes and developing implementation plans
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and bring new ideas and insight
- Experience leading client meetings and presentations without significant oversight
- Ability to create and lead development of impactful PowerPoint decks and written communications
- Ability to work independently on small teams, or on workstreams supporting larger projects
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred
- JD, MBA or Master’s degree
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, Visio
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or other similar certification
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California and Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of California and State of Colorado, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $92,981 to $163,125.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
