As Priorities’ Senior Content Associate, you will be responsible for supporting Priorities USA’s online presence on organic social media platforms, specifically Instagram and TikTok. The Senior Associate will work cross functionally to develop and execute compelling and effective organic social content campaigns to support the overall mission of the Paid Media team, most notably the influencer program. This position will be overseen by the Senior Content Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day social media programs on Instagram and TikTok, and additional future social media accounts, including writing and obtaining approval
- Support the influencer program by managing collaboration posts with content creators and creating shareable content for our accounts
- Oversee the creative process for producing organic-first content, including pitching ideas, managing content requests and approvals, and measuring success
- Stay up-to-date on digital trends and best practices, and pitch ideas for new tactics to improve our online brand
Qualifications
- 1-2 cycles or ~3 years of experience working within a social media or content creation team.
- Experience on a campaign or with a political organization, familiarity with paid media programs is preferred.
- Proven ability to create meaningful and engaging content for different social media platforms – Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
- Experience launching new social media platforms for a campaign or organization is a plus.
- Experience analyzing organic content performance and producing reports.
- Proven ability to turn a concept into compelling content and incorporate brand voice and personality.
- A desire to work collaboratively and learn from media consultants, pollsters, analysts, other teammates, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others who might not always agree – you will be working cross functionally with several other members of the Priorities team with different experiences and perspectives and will need to communicate clearly and effectively to be successful.
- Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills; ability to respond to crises calmly and with poise.
$80,000 – $90,000 a year
Compensation & Benefits
This position will have the option of being remote or working out of Washington, DC where we have an office, with occasional travel as needed. The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000, but will be tailored to experience. Priorities USA’s competitive benefits package includes 100% of health care premium covered for the employee and 75% for dependents, a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to 3% employer match, paid holidays, and unlimited PTO.
