Senior Coordinator, Logistics (CLS) (1st Shift) – Cleveland OH

Overview:

This position performs a variety of duties in support of our organization’s RMA and freight claims processing. Within the scope of this position’s responsibilities, the incumbent must continually focus on the improvement of his/her processes in order to ensure the customer’s needs are met for high quality, cost effective logistics services while, at the same time, meeting corporate values and objectives.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Work with customer and its vendors to issue RMA’s for material that is damaged in transit.
  • Process freight claims and all related activities in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with customer’s vendors/freight carriers to receive freight claim payment in a timely fashion.
  • Process receipt of freight claim payments, posting payments to claims and ensuring claim closure. Assemble and file all documents related to freight claims.
  • Develop metrics associated with role. Track, categorize, and develop metrics for freights claims and related damage material claims. Reconcile departmental discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Process improvement: Work with Sales, Customer Service, the DC, and other internal departments to make sure activities related to freight and damaged material claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Offer recommendations to improve freight claim recovery ratio and related carrier performance.
  • Responsibility to maintain reporting and operational metrics.
  • Support local management in an administrative capacity.

Key Results:

  • Number and duration of outstanding freights claim
  • Count of RMA’s issued and length of time to issue/complete
  • Number of unpaid claims from carriers – freight claim recovery ratio (claims that can or will not be collected
  • Resolving open freight claims and customer related issue if there is a corresponding RMA.
  • Improvements to the freight claims process, freight carriers used and related internal material handling processes.

Qualifications
Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. College Degree preferred
  • Clear communicator.(verbal and written)
  • ERP experience (preferable SAP)
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to learn new software and processes

The hourly wage for this position is $20.34.
